Indie Publishing Support
Taking your publishing career into your own hands can be immensely rewarding. You have complete creative control over your work and you don’t need to wait for anyone to give you permission. Now, however, you are also a one-person publishing house. You are solely responsible for editorial quality, typesetting, design, marketing, distribution and, ultimately, the sales of your book. There’s a reason why publishing a book requires a team! Whether you only need help with one aspect of the process or you’d like full service publishing support, we can create a bespoke service tailored to your goals.
How We Can Help.
Each indie author will have different needs based on their publishing goals and level of experience. These services specifically relate to the work required to publish and promote a book after the editorial process is completed. If we find that a manuscript’s editorial quality is below what we consider to be a publishable standard, we may recommend undertaking a professional edit or manuscript assessment before proceeding with indie publishing support.
Here are just some of the ways we can help:
An analysis of your book’s marketability, target audience, and media angles.
A detailed marketing strategy with specific tasks, social media templates and assets, and a guide to tracking and interpreting social media analytics to help you better understand your target audience.
A professional press release and a list of recommended media outlets to approach based on your genre and target audience.
Tracking templates in Google Sheets or Notion to enable you to track media campaigns, book sales and reviews.
Professional book cover options designed by our experienced book designers.
Internal book design by our experienced book designers, including typesetting, chapter headings and other embellishments as requested.
Blurbs and marketing copy for your back cover blurb, your website copy, author bio and any online listings for your book.
An author business plan, complete with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), clear action steps and a timeline.
Uploading your book to e-Book markets, setting up print-on-demand distribution through Ingram Spark or Audible.
And much more!
Scope & Timeline
The scope and timeline of this work is entirely up to you. We can provide guidance and detailed instructions so you can get things done, or we take over for you.
After we’ve received your query, we will initiate a no obligation call to discuss your project before presenting you with a detailed project proposal. We will work together to design a service that suits your needs and budget.
Investment
If you would like to include an editorial or coaching service in your Indie Support Service package, we will provide a discount of 10% on your quote. Quotes are subject to GST for Australian clients.
